Post-production
Jamison Beats
Jamison Beats is an upcoming hip-hop producer. He released his first works in January 2013 and has been releasing music regularly ever since, gaining hundreds of followers on Soundcloud in the process. His beats have been used by other artists such as TOLKIENBLACK and YUNG TOOLIE.
Like many artists James often works on less than ideal acoustic setups, making it difficult to make objective decisions on instrument balances in the dense musical space presented in some of his music.
For "Autumn" James came to Nighthawk not only for mixing but also for sound design. The featured piano was tracked using our virtual instruments to add the distinctive sonic flavor James needed for his composition.
Live Sound
Subcontracting
In addition to individuals, I also work as a subcontracting agent for Crew One and Technical Elements Atlanta. Technical Elements is a Kennesaw based production company that specializes in providing sound, lighting and expertise to churches, schools, hotels and other corporate events. Clients that I have worked with through TE include HOSA, the Impact Partnership, Roswell Parks & Recreation, Kennesaw State University, Young Harris College, Georgia State University and several Atlanta area churches.
While TE covers the business sector, Crew One is all about concerts. They provide technical event staffing nationwide. Some of the highlights I’ve had with these guys include Madonna and Carrie Underwood. These are both a great bunch of guys to work with and I owe a lot of my live sound expertiese to fellow contractors who were willing to take me under their wing.
Sam-Ash Sessions
Whenever I'm free between 3 and 5 on a Sunday I like to shuffle my way over to the Sam Ash Jazz Jam. This wonderful event lets local musicians have some fun and perform with peers and pros in a relaxed, no pressure setting. While I initially just went to listen (and play!) I soon found myself behind the board. It was apparent that we wanted to find a way to preserve the memories formed in this great setting, so I decided to violate my own rule and pull sound off the board for everyone to enjoy later at no cost. A few selected works are below for your convenience.
I have an archive of music available starting from November 8, 2015. If there is a song or group of sessions you are looking for please contact me and I'll get you access to all the files I've got. These are and always will be free, it's my way of thanking you for the fun.
